Introduction - What is CBD?

Cannabidiol, also known as CBD, is a cannabinoid used to make CBD products, which has gained a lot of attention in recent years for its perceived holistic benefits, but with so much information out there, it can often seem daunting on where to start. This is why we’ve created a beginner’s guide to CBD to help you make an informed decision when it comes to your wellness.

Where should I start?

A lot of beginners may struggle with choosing the right CBD product for them as trying something new can be difficult with so much out there to choose from.

This is why we created the CBD Starter Kits. Each kit contains three CBD oil drops with different flavours and strengths (low-medium-high strength), and has a total of 1167mg of CBD across all three bottles.

Starting from the low strength and building up to the high strength; the Starter Kit is a cost-effective and fun way to experiment with CBD without committing to anything too pricey!

Returning to the main topic at hand; CBD, like all food supplements, must be taken consistently to properly introduce the cannabinoid to the body. The drops themselves can be taken any time of the day that you feel aligns with your holistic needs.

Some like to take a few drops in the morning and some in the evenings, whilst others may take half or even the full pipette at a certain point in the day to feel the holistic effects.

Why CBD Oil Drops?

The best way of taking CBD is through CBD Oil Drops. The manner in which they are designed to be administered (under the tongue onto the sublingual gland) provides direct access to the bloodstream. CBD will stand the best chance of total absorption, providing accurate dosing.

The tincture’s pipette itself also aids in accurate dosing. Each bottle should have a graded pipette that will look a little like this:

CBD oil strengths may vary greatly, so each bottle should indicate just how much CBD is in the tincture; and when combined with the graded pipette, CBD oil drops make tailoring your dosage to your individual needs simple and easy to follow.

Some love CBD for its natural earthy taste, but some don’t – hence the introduction of flavoured drops.

These drops are just as effective but use holistic flavouring to mask the sometimes overpowering taste of hemp-derived products.

What else can I try?

Now that you know where to start, you may be curious as to what else the CBD industry can offer as drops might not always be for everyone, or maybe you’d like to try something new alongside your CBD oil drops!

The most popular product to take alongside drops is CBD Gummies. Our CBD Gummies can be taken as a method of topping up on your daily CBD intake; a portable, simple and delicious way to treat yourself throughout the day.

In addition to the CBD gummies and CBD oil drops, CBD topicals are another avenue to try when it comes to this popular cannabinoid. They are popular as they provide localised support rather than supporting your entire body through the bloodstream, as is done with oral administration.

One such example is the CBD Muscle Balm. The Green Stem CBD Muscle Balm contains 300mg of CBD and is a favourite amongst people from all walks of life.

Lovingly massaged into aching muscles, the CBD-infused balm works to provide holistic support, leaving you feeling relaxed and at ease, with the bonus of being delightfully fragranced with a good scent.

Conclusion

CBD has a safe track record, and its presence is abundant in various health stores – but with so much out there, it may be hard to pinpoint exactly where to start.

If you have any further queries, our team at Green Stem are happy to provide further guidance!
